PQE Partners are representing a high-profile organisation with a strong mandate to support strategic investments and large-scale projects across Australia and overseas.

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to join their Sydney-based team on a permanent basis. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-value, complex and often first-of-their-kind transactions that shape the commercial and investment landscape.

Having successfully placed many people across this business and team, I can give genuine insights into the work, culture and support you through the recruitment process.

Key Responsibilities

As Legal Counsel, you will:

  • Advise on a diverse pipeline of complex transactions, including equity investments, structured finance and large-scale corporate deals.
  • Draft, review and negotiate sophisticated transaction documents.
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across the business and externally to deliver commercially sound outcomes.
  • Navigate novel legal issues with creativity and technical rigour

About You

You will bring at least 4 years' PQE from a top or mid-tier law firm, investment fund or large financial institution. Experience in private equity, funds finance, corporate/M&A or structured transactions will be highly regarded.

Strong technical drafting and negotiation skills are essential, as is the ability to communicate complex legal issues clearly to non-legal stakeholders. A current Australian practising certificate is required.
