Job Title: Lead Risk Strategist

About the Role:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to lead all aspects of credit risk strategy for our organization.
  • You will be responsible for driving delivery and strategic direction of credit risk functions, engaging with senior stakeholders to influence key projects and decisions.
  • You will also lead a team of technical experts in the development and maintenance of credit models.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement credit risk strategies that align with our organization's goals and objectives.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and assess credit risk exposures.
  3. Design and implement effective credit risk models and frameworks.
  4. Lead a team of technical experts to develop and maintain credit models.
  5. Evaluate and mitigate credit risk exposures.

Requirements:

  • Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics/Statistics, Actuarial, Engineering, Computer Science)
  • Extensive experience in credit risk management, including IRB and IFRS9 Provisioning Model Development
  • 10+ years in financial services, preferably in investment banking or trading systems support
  • Knowledge of financial market products, market conventions and regulatory requirements
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written English) and excellent stakeholder management
