Risk Management Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned Risk Management Strategist to lead our operational and enterprise risk frameworks, policies, and aggregated reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective operational and enterprise risk frameworks, including the Risk Management Strategy and Risk Appetite Statement.
  • Oversee the management and oversight of multiple in-scope risk classes, ensuring timely and adequate responses to regulatory inquiries and investigations.
  • Provide independent risk oversight and insights to internal stakeholders on the implementation of processes and controls to support compliance with regulatory requirements and group minimum standards.
  • Represent Operational and Enterprise Risk in relevant committees and working groups, driving thought leadership in strategic approach to operational, enterprise and strategic risk frameworks.
  • Support regular Board and Executive reporting to ensure appropriate governance and escalation of Operational and Enterprise Risk issues and incidents.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in operational and enterprise risk leadership within a regulated financial services environment, with understanding of APRA prudential standards and risk capital methodologies.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with ability to influence at executive and board levels, demonstrated ability to lead teams and embed a strong risk culture.
  • Experience managing regulatory interactions and complex risk reporting, with commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive community.
