
Care Advocate

As a Carer Coach, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals to increase their agency and empower them to find practical steps towards self-identified goals.
You will facilitate one-on-one coaching sessions with carers, creating an environment that is welcoming, real, and empowering. This involves building positive relationships with carers and engaging professionally and positively with external and internal stakeholders.
Community engagement and networking are key aspects of this role, where you will work autonomously while being a supportive and flexible team member. You may be required to travel and work outside of standard business hours.
- Facilitate the program in accordance with training and guidelines.
- Provide individual coaching to achieve required outcomes.
- Create a welcoming and inclusive environment for carers.
- Ensure positive relationships with carers built on values such as empathy and respect.
- Engage professionally and positively with key stakeholders.
- Network and establish referral pathways within the community.
- Work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Minimum diploma in Coaching, Counselling, Community Services, or related field.
- Previous experience with group development and facilitation is advantageous.
- Right to work within Australia.
- Current valid driver's licence and ability to undertake some travel.
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate (free online course).
- Satisfactory National Police Records Check.
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Working with Children's Check (Employee/Paid).
