Business Manager - IT Services

About the Role:

The National Blood Authority is working collaboratively with Australian governments and blood sector stakeholders to ensure Australia's blood supply is safe, secure, adequate, and affordable.

As a Business Manager for IT Services, you will be part of an agile and flexible team responsible for providing leadership, management, and coordination of activities across the section.

  • Provide high-level finance, procurement, operational, and business management advice across IT functions to the executive, CIO, and senior ICT staff.
  • Contribute to strategic direction and leadership of the team in support of organisational goals.
  • Develop and manage project, program, and section budgets in consultation with the CIO and senior ICT staff.
  • Manage resources within the team responsible for information management.
  • Support procurement processes, contract, and invoice management for the IT team.
  • Contribute to organisational strategy and culture.

This role involves liaison with external stakeholders, particularly ICT suppliers. As Business Manager - IT Services, you will work both autonomously and collaboratively, providing leadership and support to management, your team, and the broader organisation.

We are seeking a highly motivated and driven team player who is keen to lead and enjoys working in an environment that exercises initiative, critical thinking, and judgement; in providing detailed professional and/or policy advice with excellent oral and written communication skills.

The successful applicant will receive formal training and be part of a collaborative and supportive team.
