Job Title: Financial Market Strategist

The role of a Financial Market Strategist is pivotal in guiding key stakeholders within an organization, providing expert financial insights and analysis to inform business decisions.

This position leverages finance and analytical skills to support senior management, overseeing areas of analysis and contributing to the overall success of the Services business.

Based in Melbourne, Australia, this role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a challenging and rewarding career path.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and present timely and standardized monthly/quarterly business performance reports to senior management.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis, examining factors such as product/service/customer/category variations.
  • Analyze financial information on costs, prices, expenses, and revenues, providing recommendations to senior management.
  • Collect, compile, verify, and analyze financial information and economic indicators, supporting business decisions.
  • Serve as the primary financial business partner for the Finance Director and Service Director of the market and other Services organization stakeholders.
  • Assess the financial implications of business cases, pricing simulations, and other transactions, enabling stakeholders to evaluate alternatives against business objectives.
  • Participate in annual financial planning and forecasting processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with policies and guidelines, including adherence to Financial Reporting Management (FRM) standards.
Requirements:
  • A Bachelor's degree in Economics or Finance is preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in similar roles, preferably in multinational companies.
  • Strong analytical, detail-oriented, and flexible skills, with high proficiency in MS Office, SAP, BO Business Object, and Power BI.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a good command of English language.
  • Ability to work independently, cross-culturally, and effectively manage multiple priorities.
