Senior Financial Strategist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Strategist to join our team and drive financial planning. As a key member of our asset class, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of our business, ensuring effective resource allocation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitor economic and regulatory conditions to identify new opportunities and manage risk.
  • Manage market intelligence and research to formulate and regularly update our national acquisition strategy.
  • Review and contribute to the annual asset class review, ensuring strategies remain robust and effective.
  • Lead transaction due diligence, reviewing complex financial models from prospective joint venture partners.
  • Conduct detailed financial modelling of property and capital level inputs, making recommendations on deal structures based on opportunity, risks, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Assist with managing external consultants for independent due diligence and preparing project plans and investment memoranda for asset consultant review and approval.
  • Participate in monitoring joint venture investments, manage independent valuations, and assist with internal and external reporting.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have advanced financial modelling skills, a solid understanding of residential property development and finance fundamentals, and ability to navigate complexities of residential property development risks, acquisition pricing, and deal structuring.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Estate Master software, including Development Feasibility, Development Management, and Corporate Consolidate modules.
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills, along with exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • A keen attention to detail and self-motivated attitude.
