Specialist Metabolic Healthcare Professional

As a specialist in our metabolic clinic, you will provide psychological support to individuals with complex medical needs. Your expertise will be invaluable in guiding patients on their journey towards improved health and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evidence-based assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions to patients with metabolic conditions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support consumers in decision-making for bariatric surgery.
- Assess readiness for bariatric surgery and deliver individual or group interventions to support patients in making informed decisions about their metabolic health.
- Work collaboratively as part of the hospitals' psychology team, contributing to a culture aligned with values of compassion, accountability, respect, and excellence.
Qualifications and Eligibility:
- Tertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Registered with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Area of Practice Endorsement where required (e.g., Health Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Clinical Neuropsychology).
