Chief Risk Officer

Job Description:

The Chief Risk Officer will play a pivotal role in embedding a robust risk culture and enhancing risk awareness across the organisation. This position will support strategic alignment with our Risk Management Strategy by partnering with senior leaders to integrate risk thinking into everyday business decisions, strategic planning, and operations.

About the Role:

  • Collaborate with senior leaders to foster a risk-aware culture and drive consistent messaging.
  • Develop and monitor frameworks and metrics to assess risk culture maturity and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Drive alignment with regulatory requirements, supporting governance and contributing to risk-related reporting.
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration to embed shared responsibility for risk management.
  • Influence key stakeholders and lead change initiatives that promote openness, resilience, and continuous improvement in risk practices.

About You:

  • An experienced and influential leader in the financial services sector, with a strong background in risk, compliance, or internal audit.
  • A proven track record of developing and embedding risk culture frameworks and capability programs.
  • Relevant tertiary and postgraduate qualifications in risk, compliance, or leadership.
  • Ability to engage senior stakeholders and drive cultural change.
