This role presents a chance to work at a large scale underground operation, contributing to achieving a goal of 3.1 Mtpa.
Main Responsibilities- Gain experience with underground RC grade control drilling; responsible for both short and long-term plans to meet the goal of 18 months of GC stock.
- Identify drilling targets to extend the Life of Mine (LOM) and increase reserves and resources.
- Collaborate with the modeling and resource estimation team to improve geological data for GC and resource estimations.
- Plan, monitor and implement business improvement projects in mine geology.
- Contribute to monthly reconciliation and reporting processes.
- Support the Grade Control team in GC modeling and estimation.
- Train and mentor graduates and mine geologists.
- Bachelor's degree in Geology or higher-level qualifications.
- Previous experience in underground mine geology.
- Strong grasp of mining geology including gold sampling and assaying, geological interpretation, grade modeling.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Vulcan, Leapfrog & Datashed desirable; Deswik knowledge is advantageous.
- Valid work rights in Australia.
- A current C class Manual Driver's Licence.
- A National Police Clearance.
