Geologist Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Geologist to join our team at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.

This role offers a lifestyle 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster, with direct flights to our sites from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain high safety standards by adhering to safety instructions, procedures, and rules.
  • Build relationships with staff and contractors.
  • Manage underground drill rigs, including data validation and entry.
  • Mentor Graduate and Exploration Geologists.
  • Conduct geological logging of diamond drill core.
  • Design, coordinate, and manage drill programs from Blue Sky to Resource Definition.
  • Interpret and report geological and geochemical results.
  • Geological and ore domain modeling.
  • Monitor performance against targets.
  • Weekly and monthly reporting.
About You

To succeed in this role, you will collaborate with us, share your ideas, and feel confident challenging the status quo.

Essential qualifications include:

  • Relevant tertiary or postgraduate degree in Geology.
  • Proven experience working within an underground gold mine operation or in an exploration role.
  • Experience using 3D modeling software, particularly Vulcan and Leapfrog.
  • Geological logging knowledge in diamond drill core and RC.
  • Experience validating data and working with databases, such as Datashed.
  • Knowledge of QAQC practices.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership and mentorship skills.
  • Permanent work rights in Australia.
  • A current C-class Manual Driver's License.
  • The ability to obtain a new National Police Clearance.
