
Community Development Officer

Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and facilitate community engagement events to strengthen connections between social housing tenants and their local communities.
• Support the operation of local tenant groups, including leading meetings and providing guidance on project planning and management.
• Assist with tenant surveys, workshops, and other engagement activities to improve community services.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Tertiary qualification in a relevant field or equivalent experience delivering community-focused outcomes for customers of diverse backgrounds and vulnerability.
2. Current NSW Driver's Licence and willingness/ability to travel regularly to various sites and offices.
3. Ability to use community development tools to develop community activities and services.
4. Demonstrated skills in customer service, organisational/time management, prioritising/planning, communication/digital literacy, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
5. Business acumen and social heart with self-motivation, compassion, and resilience to manage competing priorities, deadlines, and multiple stakeholders.
