**Assets Officer - Metro Sydney**

**ABOUT THE ROLE**

The Assets Officer is responsible for the efficient delivery of residential Asset based Planned and Cyclical Maintenance with the purpose of providing quality homes to our customers. The position will also provide a project management, site supervision and quality assurance role for ad hoc projects for the assets and maintenance team

The Assets Officer will be working across all Hume’s regional locations and therefore working remotely and on the field, to allow flexibility and optimize productivity by reducing travel time.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to;
- Support the delivery of quality homes that meet our customer’s needs by assisting in the development of the planned and cyclical maintenance program
- Project Management of ad hoc work
- Development and Administration of Planned Work and Preventative Maintenance schedules.
- Preparing job orders and allocating work to appropriate contractors
- Monitoring contractor performance and maintaining up to date contractor compliance and safety details
- Reporting on monthly maintenance spend
- Checking invoices for payment and liaising with finance
- Maintaining records in the assets management system
- Managing the tenant feedback and satisfaction survey process and data

We are looking for someone who is able to demonstrate superior customer service skills working with a diverse customer base. To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of organisational skills, and be able to prioritise and juggle competing demands
- A proven background in Facilities Management and Asset Maintenance within the residential space is a must
- A sound knowledge of preventative maintenance and project management
- Computer literacy is essential to facilitate the use of Hume’s asset management system, and also the use of Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Cultural alignment to Hume’s values
