About the Inland Rail Project
Inland Rail is a transformative freight backbone connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
This 1,700km project will complete our national freight network, providing a direct route for producers to reach markets and creating new opportunities for regional businesses and communities.
The Illabo to Stockinbingal section of the rail corridor is approximately 39km long and located within the local government areas of Junee and Cootamundra-Gundagai.
We are seeking experienced workforce to join our project team. The roles available include Compactor Operators, Concreters, Truck Drivers, Dozer Operators, Franna Operators, General Construction Labourers, Large Excavator Operators, Leading Hands, Peggies, Riggers, Rough Terrain Crane Operators, and Storeperson/Fitters.
Key qualifications for these roles include:
- Able to work on a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on, 1 week off)
- Monday to Friday opportunities for local residents
- Willingsness to do DIDO (Drive in drive out) or TITO (Train in Train out)
- Experience in civil construction and bulk earthworks
- Experience with operating mobile plant equipment
- Strong understanding and focus for safety
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Good communication skills both verbal and written
