About Inland Rail Opportunities Workforce

The Inland Rail project is a transformative initiative that's changing the way goods are moved around Australia. It's connecting Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, creating a 1,700km fast freight backbone that will complete our national freight network.

This new rail corridor will provide a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line. We're seeking skilled individuals with strong civil and bulk earthworks experience to work on a 2:1 roster, based out of Cootamundra.

We're looking for candidates who can work in a team environment and possess strong communication skills, both verbal and written. You'll be required to adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, using personal protective equipment at all times during work activities.

Job Requirements:
  • Ability to work on a 2:1 roster (2 weeks on / 1 week off)
  • Monday to Friday opportunities for local residents
  • Willingness to do DIDO (Drive in Drive out) or TITO (Train in Train out)
  • Experience in civil construction and bulk earthworks
  • Experience with operating mobile plant equipment
  • Strong understanding and focus for safety
  • Adherence to all safety protocols and procedures and use of PPE always during work activities
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
