Rail Systems Infrastructure Manager

This rail project is transforming the way goods are moved around Australia.
It connects Melbourne and Brisbane via regional Victoria, New South Wales, and Queensland, completing a 1,700km fast freight backbone that connects producers to markets and creates new opportunities for regional businesses, industries, and communities.
The Inland Rail project provides a direct route from east of Illabo, tracking north to Stockinbingal and connecting into the existing Forbes rail line.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement track and signalling construction methodologies.
- Provide technical guidance on rail design and integration with civil, structural, and third-party interfaces.
- Manage resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to achieve program objectives.
- Deliver occupations efficiently, staging works during possessions.
- Forecast costs for rail works and manage Requests for Opportunity (R&O) requirements.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure timely coordination of works.
- Comply with Standards and Specifications and manage change requirements.
- Ensure the team meets project requirements, safety standards, Rail Safety requirements, and operational performance criteria.
- Monitor progress against schedule, identify and resolve project risks or issues, and realise opportunities.
- Manage procurement requirements for the delivery of works.
- Lead and mentor a team of track and signalling engineers and supervisors, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and safety.
