Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Learning and Development Specialist to lead a pioneering project in Brisbane. This 6-month contract + extension offers the chance to create culturally appropriate e-learning content and blended training programs for First Nations peoples.

The Role
  • Create and deliver engaging e-learning content and training programs that enhance digital and professional capabilities of First Nations peoples.
  • IDentify skill requirements against a Digital Skills Framework and develop competency matrices.
  • Work with stakeholders to define role requirements and co-design delivery models.
  • Develop existing training or create new content to support professional development.
  • Facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions to build knowledge-sharing capacity across 30 Indigenous Knowledge Centres.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure training programs respect, relate to, and align with Indigenous cultural values and learning styles.
About You
  • First Nations People are encouraged to apply.
  • Requires 5+ years' experience in training development and delivery, preferably in community and local council projects.
  • Qualification in Training, Education, Human Resources, or other relevant field, or equivalent work experience and demonstrated expertise in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), learning tools, and virtual training platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience in producing high-quality training materials meeting specified criteria and project management frameworks.

  • Mid-senior level expertise in Learning and Development.
  • Experience delivering training programs for diverse groups, particularly First Nations communities.
  • Strong understanding of digital learning technologies and their applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
