Health, Safety and Environment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environment Professional to join our team in Brisbane and regional sites. As a key member of our national safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of our employees and the community.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective health and safety management systems to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with frontline management teams to coach and support manufacturing business leaders in achieving health and safety objectives.
- Conduct due diligence activities, including risk assessments and incident investigations, to identify areas for improvement.
- Provide expert advice on health and safety matters to leaders and stakeholders, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
- Oversee the implementation of BlueScope's Health, Safety and Environment plan, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Proven experience in governance HSE management systems and critical risk controls.
- Ability to influence and coach stakeholders at all levels of the business.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire others.
- Experience in incident investigation and analysis.
- Ability to work autonomously and balance day-to-day tasks.
