Job Title: Environment, Health and Safety Advisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Environment, Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Visy Recycling. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our safety culture across our Queensland sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and drive a safety culture that values the well-being of all employees and stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with site leaders and front-line supervisors to provide guidance and support on safety matters.
  • Partner with site leadership to implement safety programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Mentor and coach site leaders to manage and implement safety initiatives.
  • Coordinate WHS training for relevant staff and ensure that all employees are equipped to manage risks and incidents.
  • Investigate and analyze incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
  • Administer WHS data management systems to track and analyze safety performance.

Requirements:

  • Degree in WHS/OHS, environmental science, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in an EHS role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk management, incident investigations, and ISO standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, influence, and collaborate across all levels.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
