Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Environment, Health and Safety Advisor to join our team at Visy Recycling. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our safety culture across our Queensland sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote and drive a safety culture that values the well-being of all employees and stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain relationships with site leaders and front-line supervisors to provide guidance and support on safety matters.
- Partner with site leadership to implement safety programs and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Mentor and coach site leaders to manage and implement safety initiatives.
- Coordinate WHS training for relevant staff and ensure that all employees are equipped to manage risks and incidents.
- Investigate and analyze incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Monitor and report on safety performance metrics to ensure targets are met.
- Administer WHS data management systems to track and analyze safety performance.
Requirements:
- Degree in WHS/OHS, environmental science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in an EHS role, preferably in the manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk management, incident investigations, and ISO standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coach, influence, and collaborate across all levels.
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
