This role is integral in advancing our commitment to creating a unified culture of safety, ensuring the well-being of both students and staff, and promoting operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities- Health and Safety Program Development: Develop and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. Lead initiatives to foster a positive health and safety culture and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Training and Awareness: Design and deliver comprehensive health and safety training programs for staff and students, promoting a culture of safety through ongoing education.
- Incident Management: Conduct thorough site investigations, manage incidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all incidents.
- Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, serving as the primary contact for health and safety matters across PMSA.
- Compliance and Reporting: Ensure adherence to Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and other relevant regulations, preparing and submitting reports as required.
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Proven experience in developing and delivering health and safety training programs.
- Strong skills in incident investigation, risk assessment, and emergency response planning.
- Experience in managing health and safety projects with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the organization.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a complex environment.
