Industrial Equipment Acquisition Specialist

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our procurement team in Melbourne, Australia. As a key member of our operations group, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing industrial equipment and materials for our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate and manage request for quotations
- Monitor procurement project quality, cost, and delivery targets
- Promote and support new buying channels
- Collaborate with project teams
- Select and negotiate contracts with suppliers
- Work closely with commodity managers and tactical buyers on high-value projects
- Develop innovative ideas for process efficiency and cost reduction
Requirements:
- Good knowledge of indirect procurement and commodities
- Proven experience in a similar role with a proven understanding of commodities
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP and SAP Ariba are an advantage)
- Fluency in English
- Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
- Good communication, collaboration, and analytical skills
