Industrial Equipment Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Equipment Specialist to join our team at our state-of-the-art facility in Melbourne. The successful candidate will be responsible for the fault correction, calibration, and maintenance of industrial equipment and control systems.
Main Responsibilities
- Shut down, isolate, and test run machines and equipment for maintenance purposes.
- Diagnose faults in, repair, and calibrate control and monitoring loop elements, electronic systems, and sub-assemblies.
- Perform routine calibration of process instruments, both in-situ and in the workshop.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
- Interpret system diagrams and engineering drawings and prepare sketches of system modifications.
- Maintain equipment and reference calibration instruments in a state suitable for use in a controlled environment.
- Assist in maintaining the integrity of the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and perform tasks including work planning, scheduled servicing, breakdowns, shutdowns, commissioning, and test running machines and equipment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Relevant trade qualification as an Electrical or Instrumentation technician.
- Experience across a wide range of technical instrumentation in a similar industry.
- Sound understanding of calibration methods and experience in conducting investigations.
- Computer literacy – knowledge of CMMS systems.
- A commitment to safety.
