Business Development Manager Job Description

Join our organization as a Business Development Manager, where you will play a vital role in accelerating customer and partner growth.

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving multiple aspects of the partner engagement lifecycle, from selecting potential partnerships to identifying key product and business enhancements that drive satisfaction and network growth. You will also help compile forecasts from partners, demonstrate eero devices to partners, and handle in-country needs and issues for partners such as product training or order processing/support.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple organizations (eero, Ring, Amazon) and teams (BD & Marketing, Product & Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations) to advocate for partner needs and drive great customer experiences for eero partners.

The ideal candidate will possess strength and expertise in building strategic partnerships and relationships, exhibit strong analytical and interpersonal skills, and have the ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced climate. This individual should have experience program managing initiatives with significant deliverables.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engage directly with C-level executives and key decision-makers to position eero as a strategic partner
  • Support new relationships with internet providers, telcos, and distributors, acting as a first line of local support as questions/issues arise with these partners
  • Contribute to the strategic development of features and functionality that deepen partner relationships
  • Analyze market data to identify trends and opportunities, and execute on business development opportunities
  • Evaluate the economic cost-benefit of partnerships, developing best practices to foster, manage, and track opportunities

Basic Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of technology-related sales, business development, or equivalent experience
  • Experience in management of large, complex enterprise accounts or equivalents
  • Experience working with and presenting to C-level executives, IT, and lines of businesses across organizations or equivalents

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience negotiating complex deals with customers and partners or equivalents
  • Technical or educational background in engineering, computer science, or MIS
