About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Specialist in Psychiatry to join our team in Western Sydney. As a key clinical leader, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical leadership in psychiatry, working closely with the NUM/Team Leader and interdisciplinary team to ensure timely assessment and review of patients.
  • Support care provision and continuity across TAC, PECC, and Access, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Develop and implement person-centred, recovery-oriented, family-inclusive, trauma-informed, and need-adapted principles of care, promoting excellence in mental health services.
  • Collaborate with lived-experience professionals, medical staff, and non-medical colleagues to deliver high-quality care, education, and supervision.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and guidelines that promote best practice in psychiatry.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZP) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development and reflective practice, with a focus on staying up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in psychiatry.
  • Expertise and experience in providing effective, high-quality mental health services in a psychiatry setting, with a strong focus on person-centred care and interprofessional collaboration.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, inclusively, and respectfully with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
What We Offer
  • A competitive salary range of $186,241 - $229,825, depending on level of experience.
  • Managerial allowances of $24,225-$60,565.
