We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Specialist in Psychiatry to join our team in New South Wales. As a key member of our mental health service, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to patients in a short-stay crisis unit and emergency department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric assessment, treatment, and care planning for patients in both settings.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Participate in teaching and training of undergraduate and postgraduate students.
Requirements
- Specialist registration or eligibility for registration as a Medical Practitioner with AHPRA.
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent specialist recognition.
- Proven experience in high-quality clinical practice and quality improvement activities.
- Accreditation as an RANZCP supervisor of psychiatry trainees.
