About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Specialist in Psychiatry to join our team in Western Sydney. As a key clinical leader, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality mental health services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical leadership in psychiatry, supporting care provision and continuity across TAC, PECC, and Access.
  • Work closely with the NUM/Team Leader and interdisciplinary team to ensure timely assessment and review leading to disposition plans for consumers.
  • Support and work collaboratively in interprofessional contexts, including lived-experience professionals.
  • Develop and implement effective, high-quality mental health services, adhering to person-centred, recovery-oriented, family-inclusive, trauma-informed, and need-adapted principles of care.
  • Communicate clearly, inclusively, and respectfully, with high-level verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZP) or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Continuing Professional Development and reflective practice.
  • Expertise and experience in providing effective, high-quality mental health services in a psychiatry setting.
  • Ability to support and work collaboratively in interprofessional contexts.
  • High-level verbal and written communication skills, including capacity to communicate clearly, inclusively, and respectfully.
What We Offer
  • Salary range of $186,241 - $229,825 depending on level of experience.
  • Managerial allowances of $24,225-$60,565.
