We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Psychiatry Consultant to join our team at Skilled Medical. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality specialist psychiatry services to patients in emergency, inpatient, and outpatient settings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert psychiatric care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Lead and manage multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and implement mental health services and programs to improve patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Contribute to the development of mental health research and education within the department.
- Specialist registration or eligibility for specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) and/or equivalent specialist recognition.
- Membership of the Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (RANZCP) and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
- Evidence of continuing medical education and self-monitoring/audit practices consistent with the scope of practice requirements of the position.
- Proven capacity and/or experience in the provision of effective high-quality services, demonstrated through successful clinical practice in an environment appropriate to the requirements of the position.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching with experience in teaching both undergraduate and postgraduate students and other staff of the hospital.
