Role Overview

Organic Chemist Position

This is a laboratory-based technical role where you will conduct complex analyses using advanced instrumentation. Key responsibilities include performing sample preparation, interpreting and reporting results with high accuracy, maintaining laboratory instruments, monitoring stock levels, training junior team members, and assisting with documentation audits.

  • Ensure the timely delivery of accurate results to clients by prioritizing work based on due dates and urgency
  • Develop strong analytical skills through complex instrument operation and data interpretation
  • Implement effective maintenance strategies for laboratory equipment to ensure optimal uptime
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of laboratory processes in line with industry standards
  • Collaborate with the laboratory team to deliver excellent results
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • Hold a degree in Science Chemistry or a related discipline
  • Have 1-2 years experience in laboratory testing preferably in an environmental setting
  • Possess practical experience with GC-MS/LC-MS operation and data interpretation
  • Demonstrate excellent time management, attention to detail, and independent working skills
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues and contribute to a positive team environment
