Job Title: Nightshift Operations AllocatorAbout the Role:

The Nightshift Operations Allocator is a crucial position in our organization, playing a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of freight. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating freight and deliveries, planning and building loads according to customer requirements, and liaising with various teams to ensure operations run efficiently.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate freight and deliveries for local drivers
  • Plan and build loads according to customer requirements
  • Equipment and resource planning
  • Raise and reconcile freight bills
  • Liaise with NTO, other Ops & Depot teams, floor staff, and maintenance to ensure operations run efficiently
  • Facilitate retrieval and imaging of all proof of Delivery (POD) documentation
  • Monitor and report on fleet performance according to specific KPIs

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a similar role and industry is highly regarded
  • Knowledge and monitoring of fatigue and mass in accordance with legislative requirements
  • Understanding of the chain of responsibility
  • Professional presentation with a friendly and helpful manner, able to deal effectively with a diverse workforce
  • Ability to manage own time, meet deadlines, and take responsibility for output and quality of work
  • Mature attitude with a logical and methodical approach to work
  • Clear and concise communication skills
  • Flexibility in work hours/roster to include weekends
