
Capital Works Support Officer

The Australian Electoral Commission is an independent statutory authority that maintains a fair and impartial electoral system. We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support our Capital Works program in the Property Planning and Capital Works section.
This exciting opportunity allows you to contribute to strategic planning, engage with stakeholders, manage project deliverables, and provide high-level advice and reports. As a key point of contact, you will monitor project progression, set priorities, and process activities related to project budgets.
To excel in this role, you will have:
- Proven ability to develop project artefacts such as business cases, value for money, and risk assessments.
- Experience in procurement and financial management activities to support projects or programs.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and monitoring services provided by third parties to support projects and capital works.
- Experience in managing, monitoring, and reporting key project deliverables, including direction, quality, and budget.
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing complex issues, proposing change, and contributing to business improvement strategies.
- Ability to document policies, papers, briefs, and other key artifacts for various stakeholder audiences.
- Understanding of Commonwealth Government property and procurement legislation and other relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines.
- Ability to develop and support key internal and external relationships, representing the agency's interests in various forums.
