DWF offers an exciting chance to join our specialist claims management and adjusting team, where you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of claims.

We provide a comprehensive service to our insurer clients, covering various lines of business, including general and product liability, property, marine, business interruption, professional indemnity, cyber and technology, medical negligence, and equine claims.

As a Senior Claims Handler, you will be responsible for processing new insurance claims notifications, assessing whether preliminary investigations are required, and collaborating with insurers to report and seek authority on claims outside of delegated authority limits.

You will also analyze documentation and evidence to establish whether the policy conditions are satisfied and investigate any potential fraudulent claims activity.

Additionally, you will advise our clients on the best claims strategy for their desired outcome, ensuring all claims data and documents are accurately recorded in our claims management system.

Proactive management of claims is essential to ensure the best outcome is achieved quickly for our clients and their customers.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in an insurance, claims or legal environment
  • A legal qualification or general insurance experience
  • Enthusiasm and ability to deliver high-quality client-centric services
  • Confidence when dealing with people from all walks of life
  • Good analytical, negotiation and strategic decision-making skills
  • Ability to plan and prioritize effectively
  • Commercial mindset
  • Good IT literacy and computer skills
  • Excellent written communication skills
