Job Title: Claims Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to join our team in Sydney. As a Claims Specialist, you will use your skills and knowledge to resolve insurance claims and examine reported insurance losses to establish the cause, liability and quantum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resolve insurance claims and examine reported insurance losses to establish the cause, liability and quantum
  • Proactively communicate with clients and customers about initial findings and potential solutions
  • Project manage the rectification, remediation or re-instatement of damaged property including emergency repairs with appropriate experts in a seamless and connected process
  • Verify the nature and extent of loss/damage and quantify the work of reinstatement (material damage claims)
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to junior colleagues

About You:

  • Minimum 2 years insurance experience or AQF Certificate IV
  • Relevant industry qualifications, particularly ANZIIF or AICLA or equivalent
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles and procedures for processing insurance claims
  • Knowledge of claims regulations and legislations
  • Experience working within the insurance industry on domestic and commercial losses
  • Proven technical competency and a strong service delivery focus for clients, including insurers, customers and brokers
