Data Center Equipment Specialist

Job OverviewThis role offers flexible, intermittent work in equipment management and hands-on technical support. As an On-Call Data Center Technician, you'll be supported by our best-practice training, providing essential support for data center operations on behalf of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide on-call availability to respond to equipment staging and delivery requests.
- Safely and securely store and stage IT hardware and equipment.
- Ensure accurate and timely delivery of hardware to client sites.
- Perform hardware replacements and upgrades in data center environments.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose faulty equipment to minimize downtime.
- Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in data center operations.
- Keep detailed records of equipment movements, issues, and resolutions.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective support.
- Proven experience as a Data Center Technician or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of data center equipment, IT hardware, and associated technologies.
- Ability to work on an on-call basis and respond to urgent requests.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with data center safety procedures and protocols.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work schedules.
- Physical fitness to handle equipment and perform tasks within data center environments.
We offer competitive compensation on an hourly basis for on-call work, between $40-$60 per hour, including travel expenses and the opportunity to gain experience in data center operations. Our team provides training and support, and you'll have exposure to a variety of data center technologies and equipment.
