Job Summary

This is an on-call Data Center Technician position with competitive compensation between $40-$60 per hour. The ideal candidate will be available for intermittent contract tasks and able to invoice for their work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-call availability to respond to equipment staging and delivery requests.
  • Safely store and stage IT hardware and equipment.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of hardware to client sites.
  • Perform hardware replacements and upgrades in data center environments.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose faulty equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices in data center operations.
  • Keep detailed records of equipment movements, issues, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective support.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Data Center Technician or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of data center equipment, IT hardware, and associated technologies.
  • Ability to work on an on-call basis and respond to urgent requests.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with data center safety procedures and protocols.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing work schedules.
  • Physical fitness to handle equipment and perform tasks within data center environments.
