Job Title: Fleet and Asset Manager

Fleet and Asset Managers are key leaders in asset management, responsible for ensuring performance, compliance, safety, and security of company fleets.

This is a unique opportunity to bring expertise and leadership skills to support business goals. The successful candidate will have significant focus on asset maintenance and performance, lifecycle asset management, and project delivery within commercial timeframes.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Implementing Asset Management Systems: Develop and maintain asset management systems and processes to deliver reliability, availability, condition, and life of assets while minimizing maintenance costs.
  • Fleet and Asset Management Advice: Provide advice and leadership on fleet and asset management practices, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulation, and standards.
  • Asset Management Compliance: Ensure asset management compliance with Sydney Metropolitan Bus System Contracts (SMBSC).
  • Budget Management: Manage the budget as specified in the business plan.
  • Fleet Performance Champion: Champion fleet performance and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with regulatory and health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) requirements.

Requirements:

  • A trade or engineering qualification with an MR License.
  • Demonstrated strong asset management skills with strategic project leadership capability.
  • Heavy vehicle technical expertise and ability to build effective partnerships with influential stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have excellent leadership and management skills, business acumen, and the ability to drive and enhance the culture of the team.
