Osborne Richardson are delighted to offer a fantastic opportunity to join join this key NSW State Government agency as a Fleet Asset Planning Specialist, on an initial 8 month contract. in this role, you will be a part of a dedicated team responsible for managing and delivering the fleet of plant and trucks utilized on job sites with a key focus on road construction, repair and maintenance. This exciting opportunity is based ay Yennora in Sydney. There will be significant flexibility available in relation to office-home work split.

As the Fleet Asset Planning Specialist, you will provide vital support to managers, engineers, and fleet inspectors in all aspects of the business. Your responsibilities will include:

- Seeking quotations and managing documents
- Reviewing specifications and liaising with suppliers and internal customers
- Problem-solving and administration of telematics portals

As the Fleet Asset Planning specialist, you will face a number of challenges including balancing conflicting priorities and demands from multiple stakeholders, and quickly understanding and grasping processes and procedures

You will work positively and proactively with the following internal and external stakeholders:
Internal
- Fleet Asset Management team
- Fleet Workshops
- Maintenance & Delivery managers and supervisors

External
- Fleet Management Organizations
- Truck and plant suppliers
- Contractors

To excel in this role, you should possess extensive, practical mechanical and technical knowledge, specifically in trucks and plant machinery (ideally associated with road construction, etc). This will ensure your familiarity when reviewing documentation, discussing quotes, and engaging with stakeholders.

- Mechanical background in trucks or plant machinery
- Proficiency in Microsoft software (Word and Excel)
- Motivated and proactive mindset
- Excellent communication skills
