Fleet Operations Manager Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Fleet Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our fleet within the Infrastructure division. This full-time, permanent position involves developing and implementing strategic plans for the lifecycle management of the Council's fleet assets.

This role emphasizes sustainable practises and operational efficiency, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services that meet community expectations.

Key responsibilities include overseeing fleet and workshop maintenance, managing building cleaning services, directing metal fabrication workshop operations, and ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

The successful candidate will have a tertiary qualification in automotive mechanical engineering, business management, or a related field, as well as demonstrated experience in managing fleet asset lifecycles and maintenance operations at a senior level.

  • Develop and implement strategic plans for fleet asset lifecycle management
  • Oversee fleet and workshop maintenance operations

What You'll Need:

  • Tertiary qualification in automotive mechanical engineering, business management, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in managing fleet asset lifecycles and maintenance operations at a senior level
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing fleet strategy and policy frameworks
  • Strong emotional intelligence and leadership skills to build a high-performing team
