Structural Steel Detailer Position Overview

  • The Structural Steel Detailer is responsible for conducting site visits to understand client needs and obtaining accurate measurements.
Key Responsibilities:">
  1. ">
  2. Interpret plans, regulations, and codes of practice to lead and direct steel fixers in a collaborative environment.
  3. Coordinate works programs and communicate with clients, project managers, engineers, and third parties through effective collaboration and project management skills.
  4. Calculate costs, estimate time scales, and create detailed material lists and assembly lists using technical knowledge and analytical thinking.
  5. Assist Construction Managers, Builders, and Engineers in planning and organization or scope of work by providing expert guidance and support.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Architecture, Drafting, or Equivalent are necessary to meet the job requirements.
  • A current White Card is required for on-site safety and compliance.
  • High understanding of steel detailing plan interpretation is essential for successful performance in this role.
  • 3+ years of experience in a related field, preferably within steel reinforcement services, is preferred but not mandatory.
