The primary role of the Incentive Compensation Manager involves designing, implementing and maintaining effective incentive plans to optimize employee recruitment, retention and performance. This position plays a key part in maximizing profitability through strategic partnerships with line of business leaders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and consult on incentive plan design and governance for line of business leaders, adhering to best practices and risk management principles.
  • Create, develop and document incentive plan programs ensuring alignment with business objectives, program clarity and details for award delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders providing expert compensation guidance and recommendations, consulting with line of business leaders.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and competitiveness of existing incentive plans, model potential impact of alternatives.
  • Prepare plans, educational materials and communications for timely and accurate incentive plan information.
  • Audit and analyze internal compensation practices and policies, develop recommendations for corrective actions and provide compliance consultation to HR and business clients.
  • Establish procedures and written audit responses for accounting, reconcilement and documented desired calculation-based outcomes of incentive plan administration.
  • Maintain an updated working knowledge of industry-based incentive metrics, strategies and standards to ensure competitive and compliant incentive plans are designed and maintained annually.
  • Partner to develop and establish incentive governance standards, processes and training for well-governed programs and oversight.
  • Lead strategic compensation projects, key initiatives or processes horizontally across client groups as assigned.
