Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Cultural Competence and Global Citizenship Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and management of accreditation within the framework of the Council of International Schools (CIS).

The successful candidate will foster intercultural competencies throughout the curriculum and the community through co-curricular events and activities. They will also be responsible for promoting an intercultural perspective through mission, curriculum, policies, and practices that align with CIS accreditation and School Improvement Framework drivers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to promote cultural competence and global citizenship among students, staff, and parents.
  • Lead the development and management of accreditation within the framework of CIS.
  • Foster partnerships with schools, educational institutions, and organizations to enhance international collaboration and exchange.
  • Provide training and professional development opportunities to staff on cultural competence and global citizenship.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop curricula and programs that promote intercultural understanding and global citizenship.
  • Develop and implement assessment tools to measure cultural competence and global citizenship among students.
  • Stay up-to-date with best practices in cultural competence and global citizenship education.
  • Represent the College at national and international conferences and events related to cultural competence and global citizenship.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Education, Cultural Studies, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing cultural competence and global citizenship programs.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Current VIT Registration and relevant permissions to work in Australia.
