Culturally Competent Health Specialist Lead Role

About the Opportunity

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and implement high-quality Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health curricula across health science programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation and implementation of culturally sensitive curricula that promote health equity and understanding.
  • Develop and deliver cultural competency training for staff and students, enhancing collaboration and community engagement.
  • Conduct research and supervise graduate students to advance the field of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
  • Collaborate with health educators and professionals to build capacity in culturally responsive learning pedagogies.
Requirements
  • Possess a doctoral qualification or extensive relevant experience in a field related to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health.
  • Have expertise in tertiary level curriculum development incorporating Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health perspectives and cultural competencies.
  • Demonstrate strong experience working with and delivering positive social impact to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Show excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work flexibly within a team.
