Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned Pricing Expert to lead our Wholesale Pricing team. This key role will drive the development and enhancement of our wholesale pricing function for electricity, gas, and renewable products.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the team in determining transfer prices for each customer segment, providing thought leadership, and establishing pricing methodologies for new market segments and products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving capability uplift through continuous review and improvement of pricing methodologies.
  • Designing and implementing new pricing products for new customer segments.
  • Leading the philosophy on pricing development.
  • Collaborating with account executives to deliver customer-focused tender responses.
  • Leading the team in transitioning pricing activities to a new cloud platform.
  • Sponsoring the automation of sophisticated pricing models.
  • Managing the transfer pricing process and providing input into hedging strategies.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a quantitative discipline.
  • A well-developed leadership style and proven ability to lead and develop a team of skilled analysts.
  • An in-depth understanding of wholesale energy market principles and operations.
  • Significant experience in wholesale energy pricing and a good understanding of emerging industry, market, regulatory, and customer trends.
  • A strong appreciation of modern technology systems, database environments, and handling large data sets.
  • A conceptual and analytical thinker able to take complex problems and provide simple solutions.
  • The ability to work with others to deliver high-quality outputs against tight deadlines.
