About the Role

The Wholesale Pricing team is a critical part of the Integrated Portfolio Planning business unit and is responsible for the management and delivery of wholesale products and pricing for AGL's Business and Consumer segments.
The Wholesale Pricing team partners with teams across AGL to provide strategic pricing capability and support in the development of innovative customer propositions.
You will play a leading role in the commercial analysis and delivery of new product and pricing constructs, assessing technical requirements to implement new pricing propositions and demonstrate innovation in pricing propositions. In addition to technical skills, we want you to be confident with engaging stakeholders with the ability to translate technical language to a diverse audience.
This is a critical role that will help AGL deliver the solutions that enable our customers to actively participate in the energy transition and reduce their carbon footprint and cost.
What you'll be doing:
- Collaborating with key business stakeholders (especially B&CC Product team) to identify new pricing propositions that deliver value for customers and AGL
- Lead the evaluation of financial opportunities and risks (for both customer and AGL) of new pricing propositions
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to define and map the end-to-end process requirements to support the introduction of new pricing propositions
- Lead the identification of business process and system impacts specific to the Wholesale Pricing team of delivering new and/or updated pricing propositions
- Prepare business cases for funding to enhance Wholesale Pricing technologies in support of pricing proposition development
- Facilitate the delivery of changes required in the Wholesale Pricing team to support new proposition development
About You
What you'll bring to the table:
- Experience in commercial modelling and/or understanding of the financial opportunities and risks of new pricing propositions
- Ability to develop strategies to balance risk/return
- Previous experience within an Energy Retail or Wholesale product and pricing roles preferred
- Strong understanding of energy markets, and in particular, energy market pricing concepts and drivers
- Experience in identifying and driving the implementation of systems and processes to support the enhancement of business systems/processes
- Tertiary qualification(s) in relevant technical and/or business discipline
