
Senior Workplace Strategist

As a leading civil construction company, we are seeking an experienced People and Culture Advisor to support our East Coast Operations.
This role requires a self-starter who can navigate complex workplace matters, deliver HR excellence, and build strong relationships with our people.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert HR/IR advice to Operational Leaders on employment and industrial relations matters.
- Manage industrial matters, including Enterprise Agreement negotiation and interpretation, and union access across sites.
- Coach and upskill Operational Leaders on employee and industrial matter management.
- Resolve HR/IR issues, including grievances, disciplinary matters, investigations, and hearings.
- Drive cultural change through strategic HR initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with legislative requirements and mitigate associated risks.
- Work closely with the Head of People and Culture on HR cyclical activities.
- Contribute to the Employee Value Proposition to ensure Whittens remains a great place to work.
- Review and update HR policies and procedures.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within a comparable industry.
- Strong expertise in Industrial and Employment Relations.
- A proactive and self-starting approach to supporting Operations.
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related field.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to influence stakeholders.
