Job Title: Senior Financial Strategist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Strategist to join our finance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for playing a crucial role in financial reporting, compliance, and strategic finance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective financial reporting processes
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare annual financial statements for the consolidated group
  • Provide support to external auditors as required
  • Oversee tax (GST, Income Tax, Payroll Tax) and other compliance reporting
  • Promote business partnering and process improvement
  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts
  • Cash flow management

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A CPA or CA qualification (or working towards completion)
  • At least 5 years' experience in accounting, preferably in a commercial finance environment at a senior level
  • Experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is highly regarded
  • Knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills with a proactive mindset
  • A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy
