The role of Associate Director, Workplace Relations requires a high-impact leader to step into an opportunity where you can contribute meaningfully to the development and implementation of workplace relations strategy. This senior position will allow you to influence people strategy, workplace culture, and university-wide People and Culture initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic approach to workplace relations, including enterprise bargaining, performance management, and compliance with employment legislation;
  • Support both the Workplace Relations and Senior HR Business Partner teams in delivering integrated support to senior leaders across faculties, schools, and professional units;
  • Advise executive and senior stakeholders on workforce planning, organisational change, complex case management and reform;
  • Represent the university in external industrial forums and negotiate collaborative relationships with union stakeholders;
  • Oversee conduct and compliance processes, ensuring effective risk culture reporting;
  • Maintain knowledge of legislative changes and sector trends, translating insight into clear action plans, education and implementation;
  • Contribute to the broader People and Culture strategic direction and support a values-based, inclusive, and high-performing culture.
