Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Knowledge Lawyer to join our team. As a key member of our Legal Excellence & Risk department, you will play a vital role in providing professional support to our national Banking & Financial Services practice.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Knowledge to develop and implement strategies for delivering high-quality training sessions and technical solutions. They will be responsible for drafting and maintaining precedents, ensuring style guide compliance, and conducting file audits in conjunction with the Risk team.

You will also be responsible for writing key matter summaries for business development, maintaining awareness of legislative and case law changes, and providing regular updates to the Banking & Finance practice group. Additionally, you will prepare and deliver legal educational training and deliver style, precedents, and writing training to the firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the design and delivery of practice training sessions
  • Facilitating development and execution of technical solutions and document process improvements
  • Drafting and maintaining precedents
  • Being a champion for style guide compliance
  • Working cross-functionally to develop workflows and precedent suites for automation platforms
  • Conducting file audits in conjunction with the Risk team
  • Writing key matter summaries for business development
  • Maintaining awareness of legislative and case law changes
  • Preparing and delivering legal educational training
  • Delivering style, precedents, and writing training to the firm
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have at least four years of post-admission experience and current or recent banking or financial services drafting experience. You will also have excellent document drafting skills and high attention to detail, as well as proven ability to project manage, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to prioritize and follow up tasks autonomously.

You will be able to work effectively cross-functionally and have a keen interest in knowledge sharing and precedent development and style compliance. Additionally, you will have eagerness to learn and test new solutions.
