Join us at Melbourne Airport in a pivotal role where aviation operations meet cutting-edge security technology. As a Security Systems Specialist, you will play a key part in ensuring the safety and security of our terminal, particularly as we roll out the new Security Screening Project (SSP).

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and proactive professional to support our critical security technology infrastructure during a time of transformation.

As a Security Systems Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for maintaining and enhancing our security software applications, with a strong focus on Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS) and CCTV. You will work closely with the Applications Support team during upgrades and ensure that our systems remain robust, reliable, and ready to support the evolving needs of Melbourne Airport.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting and maintaining EACS and CCTV systems, ensuring they operate efficiently
  • Monitoring system status, alarms, and uptime, with active intervention when issues arise
  • Managing service desk tickets and working closely with the Applications Support team during upgrades
  • Coordinating system design and integration for new CAPEX projects
  • Managing vendor relationships to ensure KPIs are met in line with service agreements
  • Configuring access permissions for internal and external stakeholders
  • Monitoring hardware lifecycles and contributing to asset replacement planning
  • Leading camera view management in collaboration with operational stakeholders

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working with enterprise-level servers, security software, and field hardware
  • Hands-on knowledge of legacy and modern EACS and CCTV systems
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and aviation security principles
  • Practical experience with CCTV analytics integration
  • Ability to manage contractors, budgets, and vendor SLAs effectively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills – able to explain technical systems in simple terms
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and the ability to work within complex project environments
