Program Officer Job Description

We are seeking a Program Officer to deliver programs specifically to schools, group tours and to facilitate our public programs offerings.

You will assist in the development of programs, showcase the collections and exhibitions in the museum, promote the museum and increase visitation of education groups and tours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering programs to schools, group tours and facilitating public programs
  • Assisting in the development of programs and showcasing collections and exhibitions
  • Promoting the museum and increasing visitation of education groups and tours
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Museum education practices
  • Delivering programs and events experience
  • Knowledge of the surfing industry including surfing history, culture and artefacts
  • Administration skills
  • Demonstrated driver's license
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Developing public programs, educational programs experience in a museum context
  • Writing or editing exhibition content for diverse audiences
