The Australian National University is seeking a Nano Phase Specialist to join the Geochemical Instrument Operations Team within the Research School of Earth Sciences.

This role is key for managing the ANU NanoPhase Facility, providing high-level support to laboratory operations, technical and research operations.

  • Manage state-of-the-art instrumentation including an infrared photo-induced force microscope, Raman FTIR spectroscope, portable x-ray fluorescence spectrometer, and benchtop XRD.
  • Provide technical and research support to staff and students.
  • Develop productive relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.

Desirable skills include earth sciences, chemistry, physics, and/or engineering, as well as a desire to contribute to world-class research through research support and method development.
